Great Books

$28.00$899.00

Great Books is an exciting and challenging course, but one that is extremely demanding of the English teacher’s time and intellect. The purpose of the lessons presented in Great Books is to make palatable and accessible to both the teacher and the student some of the greatest works of world literature. Each lesson is designed to highlight a different aspect of the writer’s craft such as tone, symbolism, diction and plot construction. Lessons have accompanying homework assignments, writing exercises, term paper options, lecture notes, take home and in-class tests, examination rubrics, and in many cases model responses. These model responses have been crafted under ordinary classroom conditions, without additional shaping or subsequent correction by Gabriel Sloyer, an exceptional honors student.
