This chapter has two sections. The first section explains why scientists need a system of classification and generally describes different ways organisms can be classified. The second half of the chapter goes through the first two levels of classification that organisms can be placed into. These two levels are the domain, which is classification by the RNA and the kingdom, which is classification based on patterns of relationships.
Topics include the 3 Domains and the 4 Kingdoms, Phylum and Division, Abiotic and Biotic Factors.
