Designed to be used with any Earth Science textbook as a content resource, this is the second semester of a full-year course that includes, an easy-to-use pacing guide, plus comprehensive daily lesson plans providing point-of-use content background and teaching strategies to support classroom success. The classroom-tested labs are creative, engaging and apply concepts covered in the (editable PowerPoint) daily class notes that are ready the first day of class. Assessments provided for each unit are also editable. All of these elements will greatly reduce teacher preparation time, improve the instructional environment for both teacher and student. For New York State Schools: As part of the Regent exam, students will also take a lab performance test , covering major laboratory skills and activities, approximately two weeks prior to the written Regents Exam. The lab exam counts for approximately 15% of the total Regents score. Students are required to complete and pass a minimum number of lab activities prior to taking the Regents Exam at the end of the school year. Students must complete 1,200 minutes of laboratory experience with satisfactory written lab reports on file for admission to the Regents Examination. Link to Volume 1.
