Founded in 1955, the Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States created by the College Board offering college-level curriculum and examinations to high school students. American colleges often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores above a certain number on the examinations. Each year over 1 million students take over 2 million exams.

CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (IGCSE) CURRICULUM

Cambridge Assessment was formed in 1858 by the University of Cambridge. Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. More than 9,000 schools in over 160 countries are part of the Cambridge learning community. The IGCSE Exams are taken in 144 countries in more than 2,900 schools globally. The following course offerings are the first in a series of instructional support materials to be published by Teaching Point for the benfit of teachers with new IGCSE and Cambridge International Exam (CIE) assignments.
