Grants are available for teachers to pay for instructional support, mentoring teacher access and, if necessary university tuition

Email us if you want, or need, instructional and mentoring teacher support for specific classroom assignments paid for by a grant (see over 100 subject-specific course material offerings at catalog or university courses at through University of Missouri St. Louis or Texas A&M Commerce )

Enrollment: Teachers with out-of-field assignments can simply read the details and fill out an enrollment form to register with a participating the university. This sustained professional development program series will, with complete instructional and mentoring support, save teachers hundreds of hours of prep time and enable them to confidently deliver content to their students.

Funding: The tuition for these professional development courses may be funded through the new state grant as funds last or, after that grant has been exhausted, from: Title I and Title IIA (Improving Teacher Quality State Grants), Title 5 (Innovative Programs), state professional development and school improvement budgets, foundations, etc.

Reason for the grant: There is a need for subject-specific instructional support so that teachers can meet the challenges of new teaching assignments. Online courses: Participating universities host an initial series of over 100 Teaching Point online distance learning continuing education courses. Ultimately, universities in multiple U.S. states and other countries will host this series to certify teachers by subject. The series will offer teachers convenient access to online coursework to support content knowledge and content-specific instructional skills and the opportunity to earn CEU credit or hours toward re-certification and certification in subject-specific areas.
