Like the English 11 text, this program is geared toward the 11th-grade English student, with a focus on American literature. Unlike the English 11 text, the English 11 Honors text is designed to be used as a supplement or stand alone text for your honors course. This course is writing intensive, with the students working not only to master the basic concepts of American literature, but to go more indepth in the study of specific authors. This course is also reading intensive, with students completing 8 major novels in the span of the course. This course may be modified for courses on a semester program as opposed to attending the class for one year. This course is also designed, like the English 11 course, to prepare students for state and national exams.
